The much awaited G.I. Joe the movie is announced to be in theaters on August 7, 2009, quite long though but I manage to get these Snake Eye’s pics which were released earlier by Paramount Pictures. I really think that tension has started build up and critics have began their analysis on this upcoming Stephen Sommers movie. The Snake Eye suit is kinda like the costume used on Batman Begins but cooler. Many film makers screw up the transition from comics, video games and cartoons to movie like the removal of the skull from the first Punisher movie, that really sucks and made a quick negative impression on me. But I guess Sommers did a great job on Snake Eyes and nailed it right. He pays much respect to G.I. Joe fan or maybe he is one himself, that maybe the reason behind this masterpiece in the making. This movie may ring a bell to those film makers that disappoint comic/video game/cartoon fans that obliterated the many details in transition. But, this time they got it right. Snake eyes looks just like he does in the cartoon since the film makers are not stupid enough to mess with perfection.

“He’s the world’s greatest ninja, but he’s also next-generation. He’s not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he’s pulling out his Glock,” Sommers told USA Today. “His chief nemesis is arguably the world’s other great ninja, Storm Shadow. The two grew up together, were blood brothers and now are mortal enemies.”

It’s directed by the same guy that directed Mummy Returns and Van Helsing, and brought you Scorpion King. Can you really be excited about that?
